I’m responsible for the overall management of financial resources at my company. I act as the adviser to the Director General and the Board on all matters of financial management and risk and play a critical role in partnering with the senior leadership team in strategic decision-making.
London Graduate School is an institution that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. The project supervisors are wonderful people, who would not stop at only coaching but offer real involvement to see to it that you succeed. Studying the MSc in Accounting and Finance has improved my efficiency, effectiveness, and proficiency in my job delivery. My earnings have improved which has positively impacted my living standards. My MBA was a good step to secure more senior managerial roles. With over 20 years of experience, I had accumulated a high level of knowledge and expertise in my field, but unfortunately, without the MBA (as a requirement) advancing was challenging. The MBA is of value when broadening your career scope to work abroad, which is now a possibility for me.
My MBA assisted me in honing my organisational abilities in both my operations and project roles. I gained an in-depth understanding of Business Process Management (BPM), process and quality analysis and procedural implementation in logistics to name a few as a result of operations management being integrated into the MBA course. These abilities allow me to scale and improve my overall function, critically manage difficult client situations, comprehend global perspectives regarding industry trends and awareness of problems like financial regulations and their implications, and develop strategies to resolve complex problems involving risk management in operations combined with data analytics.
I work as a Skills Trainer delivering courses on areas that help the unemployed find jobs such as interview skills, effective job search, transferable skills and even self-confidence. My degree has helped me successfully transition from a career inNigeria to getting a good job in the UK.
